Planet Hollywood

Review by David Roche

A ROOM WITH A VIEW!

It's only March and already this year I've been to Vegas twice so I'm starting to feel like a local! Five times in Las Vegas in 2 years, surely I've seen everything there is to see? After all, once you've seen the strip, you've seen the strip! or have you?

Well no actually as I found out this time around when I was treated to the best views of the strip I've ever seen, and that includes photos!

One of the best unique selling points that Planet Hollywood has to offer is Location, Location, Location! and being located slap-bang in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, Planet Hollywood surely is located where the action is!

I was in Vegas for a whole week this time around and not one night went by when I didn't keep the bedroom curtains wide open, not because I harbour some voyeuristic tendencies, but because the view of the strip from my bed was simply amazing! My upgraded room was on the 23rd floor (that's high) with large tinted (and one way) windows looking from the centre of the strip southwards all the way to Mandalay Bay and the MGM Grand - Stunning!

There is more to offer guests than just good views at Planet Hollywood however and if I was asked to pick an additional two unique selling points and reasons why it is a good idea to stay at this hotel, I would choose the Spice Market Buffet and the Pleasure Pit (the free bottle of Spirits on check-in came a close 3rd!). The food at the Buffet is the best I have ever had at a Las Vegas hotel and the Pleasure Pit is the kind of place that makes losing your money actually enjoyable!

There's loads on offer at Planet Hollywood as you would expect including an amazing choice of accommodation to suit all budgets, and entertainment and nightlife to keep you happy all night long. All of this can be checked out at the Planet Hollywood website which like the resort itself, is ROCKING!

If you're going to do Vegas then a stay or play at Planet Hollywood is definately recommended and the accommodation charges are quite reasonable too.

One of my favourite hotels!
